Hello My Name Is...

SusanStrayer.com is the online home for Susan D. Strayer, SPHR, recruiting's double-edged sword. As both an experienced career coach and corporate recruiter, Susan has lived in both sides of the house: the corporate hiring suite where needs have to be met perfectly (and faster than you can say "hire"), and the job seeker's basement where hours of hard work don't always equal success.

A business and HR professional, and career strategy expert with over ten years of experience working with and for Fortune 500 companies, fast-growing businesses, start-ups and individual career professionals, Susan doesn't mince words or waste time.

She's got a low tolerance for laziness and a high tolerance for the insanity of the corporate world, plus, a perspective like no others: she's helped hundreds of professionals get jobs and dozens of companies offer them.

Gratitude is Underrated

I'd be remiss if I didn't regularly thank all of the colleagues, clients, friends and family who have shared their stories, advice, wisdom and support along the way. Life, like business, is about surrounding yourself with people who give a damn. So for my latest book acknowlegdements...

Susan's Always Available to Talk

...and boy does she. Hmmm....can I get Susan to speak or sign books at my event? Does she get rave reviews?

"You were really great! I think your session was one of the best, hands down. The buzz on it was amazing. " HR Executive, October 2007

"We had [participants] who are still in college and alumnae ranging from two years out of college to twenty years out. Everyone thought the presentation was valuable." Session participant, March, 2007

"I'm very grateful for your advice on my resume. You were right on target and although I'm still working on it, I can see major improvements." Conference participant, March, 2007
